Last August, I accompanied by husband to a Ham radio conference in Huntsville, Alabama.  I really did not want to go.  I have a Ham radio license but I never use it and the whole thing just seemed boring.  But he insisted.  Said there was the space museum and the art museum. I reluctantly agreed to go.  He got us a floor as high up as possible to get the best view, knowing I'd see something I had to paint.  He was right.  The view outside our hotel room was very pretty.  Oh, my but it was hot.  I have painted outdoors in the heat and over 83 degrees F, I just melt.  The forcast for the next day was 95 degrees!  So the night before I decided I'd get up early when my husband did, and paint the scenery in the early morning light right though my hotel window!  How's that for "plein air"?!  I like plein air when I'm in air-conditioning!
